Vianney Lacrosse Registration

Please read ALL information below.  The registration link is at the very bottom of this page. Also, be sure to print the three PDF forms at the bottom of this page, fill-out and hand-in to one of the Board members or Nate Stein. 


Spring Season
Tryouts will begin Monday, February 19th  under the direction of our coaching staff,  Jeff Benton(Varsity Head Coach), TBD (JV Head Coach) and Nate Stein (Director of Lacrosse Operations). Each team will have former NCAA collegiate players as assistant coaches.

Our league is the Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MSLA), which consists of teams from Missouri and Illinois (OFTHS). Teams will also participate in tournaments.

Uniforms and Gear Bags
All home and away uniforms and the gear bags must be returned on the last day of the season. If a player fails to return his uniforms and gear bag he will be responsible for the replacement cost.

Parent Work Deposit
Please write another separate check made out to St. John Vianney Lacrosse Club for $250.00 as a worker security deposit.  Parents are required to participate in at least TWO tasks that assist the club in running the program. Volunteer opportunities include: team reps, fundraising committee,  scorekeeping, running the clock, JV End of Season Tournament, or the Senior Night. This check will be destroyed at the end of the season if your family’s work commitment has been fulfilled, or cashed if not (following notification to you). You may also ‘buy-out’ of this responsibility for $250.  This deposit/buy-out check is due at time of registration no later than January 31st.  Make sure to register for your work duty on vianneylacrosse.com under the Dibs tab to be credited.

Equipment
Players are required to wear Vianney helmets with facemasks, mouth guards, certified shoulder pad with heart guard, arm/elbow pads, approved gloves, and use an approved lacrosse stick.  This expense is borne by the player/family.  All players please ensure you purchase the Vianney black CASCADE helmets with yellow trim and black gloves. Team helmets and gloves are available for purchase at a discount through the team.

Payments
Please make all checks payable to: St. John Vianney Lacrosse Club. Returned checks will be assessed an additional $35 fee to cover bank charges.

Refund Policy
Please refer to the below schedule for information concerning refunds.  These conditions apply regardless of reason (voluntarily leaving club, academic ineligibility, and season ending injury).

Player Leaves Club Refund Due:
After making a team 50% of PLAYER FEE ($325)
After First Game 0% of PLAYER FEE

** Exceptions may be made due to a player being injured. 

US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REFUNDABLE

Player And Parent/Legal Guardian Responsibilities
Players and/or their parent/legal guardian are responsible for turning in all required paperwork. In addition, no player will be allowed to practice or participate in games until all of the following requirements are met:

  • Be sure a copy of a current year Physical Examination is on file at the school office (dated on or before February 17, 2024 of the prior calendar year from the Spring lacrosse season)
  • Complete the online US Lacrosse membership registration (details on the last page of this pocket)
  • Abide by all aspects of The Vianney Lacrosse Club Handbook and Constitution and By-Laws of the St. John Vianney High School Lacrosse Club
  • Maintain eligibility per the Vianney Athletic Handbook and the Vianney Athletic Department’s Guidelines for the Student/Athlete, available on the Vianney website (www.vianney.com)
  • All announcements and information concerning practices and games, travel, teams, etc. will be provided on this website or for immediate updates follow Coach Benton on Twitter @VianneyLacrosse. 
  • All players will need to join the team GroupMe.  See Coach Stein for assistance.
  • All fees can be paid immediately but no later than Feb 17th, 2024.
  • Please note registration fees: if you need to discuss financial arrangements, you may contact our club Treasurer, Jason Summerford or the club President, Nick Ottiger.
  • Security deposit checks:  these checks will not be cashed unless your volunteer obligations are not fulfilled. You may choose to opt out of the volunteer obligation by having us cash your deposit.

**ALL players must have a US Lacrosse Member ID.  If you already have a valid US Lacrosse Member ID, please indicate the Member ID number.  If you do not have a US Lacrosse Member ID you have to go to here to Join and Become a Member to obtain your son’s Membership ID number. A fee is required. Please provide the necessary information requested.

US Lacrosse Membership Registration And Member ID

This membership is extremely important.  Per the Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MSLA) rules players will not be allowed to play or practice without a US Lacrosse Membership and Member ID.

Parents must complete US Lacrosse Membership Registration for their son by going on-line to: uslacrosse.org/membership and join to Become a Member or Renew your membership. (US Lacrosse Membership must be renewed at the beginning of every high school season.)
